Dine and Dash: Branford Woman Allegedly Flees Mango's Without Paying Bill

Police arrest 23-year-old woman after she allegedly dodges paying her tab.

Vanessa Marie Wager, 23, of Branford reportedly tried to skip out on her dining bill Friday evening, according to police.

Wager and two friends ordered $32 worth of food and drink at just off the green around 6 p.m. on July 22. When it came time to pay the bill, police said, Wager could not come up with the cash or credit cards to settle the tab.

The restaurant management reported that Wager, who was solely responsible for the bill, said she was going to find means to pay the bill and left the premises. The management tried to stop her, but she began to run, police said.
