Branford's Information Center Release Last Post-Irene Update

For more than one week, the town has kept the community up to speed on power outages and restoration as well as cleanup efforts after the storm.

Tonight the Branford Police sent their last B-Informed message since information began coming from the department last week in anticipation of Irene. She came and kept the community up to-date on aid efforts as well as power restoration progress.

Tonight we all celebrate as just 50 CL&P customers are still without power since last Sunday, Aug. 28 (Saturday for some) when the lights first went out.

A job well done by the town for keeping those signed up for the emergency notification system, well informed.
