Branford Woman Allegedly Operating Drug Factory on Hemlock Road
Branford Police arrest woman for operating a drug factory; seize $21,000 and 2.5 pounds of marijuana.

On April 27 Detectives along with member of the US Postal Service and the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) executed a Search and Seizure Warrant at a residence located at 100 Hemlock Road, Unit 10-3. During the search detectives recovered illegal prescription narcotics, 2.5 pounds of marijuana, approx four grams cocaine, and over $21,000 in cash.
As a result of the seized contraband, detectives arrested Melissa J. Antonucci, 36, of the same address for Operating a Drug Factory; Possession of Narcotics; Possession of a Controlled Substance; Criminal Attempt to commit Possession of more than 4 oz. of Marijuana and Possession of less than 4 oz. of Marijuana.

Detective Lieutenant William Carroll, who heads the department’s Detective Division said, “This is another investigation where our agency works in close concert with other federal agencies to remove illegal drugs from Branford’s streets and arrest dealers and suppliers.”
Antonucci was released on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear on May 8, 2012 in New Haven Court.
