Branford Police were able to locate and arrest a woman late Friday (12/27/13) evening after she threatened two travelers to give her a ride from the TA Travel Center on East Industrial Road.
Lieutenant Patrick O’Malley, the Department’s evening Shift Commander said that officers, including Officer Joseph Carangelo, Marc Andrew and Detective Patrick Moynihan responded just after 10:00 pm to a report of a woman threatening customers in the parking lot for a ride, saying that she had a gun in her purse.
Lt. O’Malley said that officers were able to get a “very good description” of the suspect from the victim and, by using the Travel Center’s video surveillance equipment, were later able to locate the woman a short distance away in a rented room at Best Value Motel.
Officers arrested Dana Lucibella, (DOB 7/11/1978) of uncertain address, for Threatening in the 2nd degree, two counts of Breach of Peace, and Criminal Attempt to Commit Kidnapping with a Firearm in the 2nd degree.
