If you see a 9/11 memorial today and take a picture, feel free to add it here on Patch.

The town’s emergency dispatch also called out the following messages today to Branford’s first responders to commemorate the 9/11 tragedy 11 years ago today.

@0845:  On Sept 11, 2001, 19 terrorists loaded four airplanes and deliberately and cowardly launched a series of attacks on the United States of America.  Today the Branford Fire Department asks you take a few moments to remember the nearly 3000 that were lost including 343 FDNY  firefighters, 23 NYPD officers, 37 Port Authority officers, 8 private sector EMTs and Paramedics, and the men and women of our armed services that fell at the pentagon.

@0846:  The time is now 0846 when American Flight 11 struck the North Tower

@0903:  The time is now 0903 when United flight 175 struck the South Tower

@0937:  The time is now 0937 when American Flight 77 struck the pentagon

@1003:  The time is now 1003 when United Flight 93 crashed in a Pennsylvania field after some Brave Americans attempted to take back the aircraft.  May we never forget and may God bless America
