The missing 27-year-old female swimmer who was last seen around 7:30 p.m. this evening at East Haven Town Beach has been found alive according to authorities. East Haven Assistant Fire Chief Charles Licata reported that the missing swimmer "appears to be in relatively good shape." Residents who gathered around the area of the search let out a round of applause upon hearing the good news.

and are responding to a report of a missing female swimmer in the area of the town beach. is assisting with the rescue as well according to reports.
East Haven Patch is reporting that the missing swimmer is a blonde 27-year-old female, last seen fully clothed. East Haven Fire Chief Douglas Jackson said he had spoken to her husband and it's a very credible report.
East Haven Fire has launched both its water rescue boats in their search for the missing swimmer and a dive team has also reported to the scene. A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter is also sweeping the town beach looking for the missing swimmer.
The swimmer has been missing since about 7:30 p.m., command reported.
