A Letter of Thanks from Ray Ingraham to BPD and BFD

The following is a letter from Ray Ingraham to Branford Police Chief Kevin Halloran and Branford Fire Chief Jack Ahern:

Chiefs,

On behalf of the Ingraham/Bacon families, I would like extend my sincere gratitude to your teams. During the loss of my mother and the ensuing emergency your teams acted with greatest sense of professionalism and compassion. From the dispatcher who sensed that I was confused and needed a little coaxing to remember my CPR training, next to the first responders who took over, explained everything that was happening and why. Establishing moms wishes for level of care, then acting on the information I gave them. Then to the police staff who did their investigation in a manner that made me very comfortable, this is such a critical point. They needed to figure out if anything untoward occurred causing her death. I was impressed with the manner they handled this conversation where I was never uncomfortable.

So often the snapshot of these teams are they are sitting and waiting for us use our cell phones in our cars or just hanging out washing a truck. When you dial 911 you have very specific expectations, your staffs met every criteria in this instance.

Thank You,
Ray Ingraham
