Whether you head to the beach for the first time this year, have a party or simply are out and about, this is a busy weekend full of things to do, family get-togethers, and parades that has become the . Whatever you do, enjoy and keep this quote from Katharine Hepburn in mind, "I never lose sight of the fact that just being is fun." Here is a bit of information about Memorial Day and some weekend happenings you may want to check out.

Did You Know?

Are you aware that Memorial Day was originally established to remember those who served our country during wartime and lost their lives? The “National Moment of Remembrance” resolution asks Americans to pause at 3 pm local time “To voluntarily and informally observe in their own way a moment of remembrance and respect, pausing from whatever they are doing for a moment of silence or listening to 'Taps.'" This time may not work for everyone but we can each take a few moments on Memorial Day to think about and quietly thank all the veterans who have served our country and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for us.

Tag Sales and Flea Market

Big tag sales at the on the Branford Green and the in Branford (Beechwood Road and Pepperwood Lane) and the in Wallingford will have treasures for tag sale and flea market lovers.

rather harsh and does not mention Congress or that fact that any CEO expects their chain of commandRead More to do the job assigned. The events of the last few years, the endless wars, homeland terrorism etc. Not an easy time for any Commander -in Chief. When an article simply slams and does not balance with positive accomplishments, it is hard to see the readers point of view
