Contaminated Dog Treats - A Call to Action

Contaminated dog treats have once again reached our pets’ bodies. This is not the first time, and sadly I am sure it won’t be the last time, that our pets’ food supply has caused suffering and death.

Unfortunately, this is an inherent risk each time we feed our dogs commercial foods. Sadly, pet foods are not held to the same standards as human foods, and therefore run the risk of contamination from a range of culprits.

We love our pets, and we reward, train and indulge them in a number of ways, including through treats. However, our love and affection may backfire and wind up in vain if our pets gets sick from what they eat.

When it comes to feeding our pets, the only way to truly protect them is to control what goes into their bodies — I mean, really take the reins when it comes to their health. The only way to do this is to prepare the foods and treats ourselves.

It’s simple, cost-effective and straightforward to create balanced, healthy and safe recipes for your dog.

Ask yourself: Are you willing to put your dog’s health and safety in the hands of unknown entities, often overseas, that have insufficient standards or levels of care when it comes to what goes into–and doesn’t go into–our pets’ bodies?

Food forms the foundation of health, good or bad. Taking control of your pet’s health through diet can make all the difference in your pet’s well-being.
