A Bit of Vermont Here in Branford

The Branford Supply Pond is nature at its best.

Why waste a ton of money on gas driving up to Vermont for the weekend when theis in your own back yard.  Thirty five acres of open water and forest like land make this serene habitat for nature a great escape for all.

Whether you choose to hike, bike, fish or cross country ski, the trails offer it all with no major crowds, traffic woes or admission price.  What makes this area so special is that not many people know about the trails or take advantage of all they have to offer.   Websites do offer a map of the trails for those looking to hike or stroll through the woods.  However, even a simple walk around the pond or a picnic on a rock allows one to take a step back in time to a simpler world without strip malls, highways or buzzing computers.  The swans, geese, fish and turtles can be watched for hours while other furrier animals scamper by. Nature is well preserved in this part of Branford.

The Supply Pond does not allow motorized vehicles on the trails or swimming in the pond. The peace, the serenity and the beauty of the land demands your mind to let go of the stresses from work, children and getting dinner cooked that night. The Supply Pond Park is a part of Branford that will be kept as an open reserve so enjoy the peace and beauty of the land.
