Donald J. Christofani, of Branford, died suddenly on Thursday, May 15, at the Yale–New Haven Hospital Shoreline Medical Center in Guilford.
He is the husband of Leslie Barron Christofani of Branford.
He is the father of Donald Christofani Jr. of Hartford, Bryan Christofani (wife Shannon) of Branford, Michael Christofani (wife Jenn) of Naugatuck, Rebecca Christofani, David Christofani, and Nicholas Christofani, all of Branford.
He is the brother of Marianne Shippy of West Haven and Barbara Christofani of East Haven. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
Donald was born in New Haven on June 19, 1955, a son of the late Donald D. and Helen Christofani.
He has resided in Branford for the past 20 years, having previously resided in New Haven and West Haven.
He was a carpenter for the Local 34 and was the head of maintenance for Sargent’s.
He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and a motorcycle enthusiast.
A memorial wake will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford.
