Bi-Partisan National Eating Disorders Awareness Caucus in Congress

National Eating Disorder Awareness Week Is In Full Swing!

This week, Feb. 26-March 3 is National Eating Disorder Awareness Week. Recently, the United States Congress has approved the creation of the National Eating Disorders Awareness Caucus, which aims to build  support from the ground up in a strong bi-partisan manner.  The mission of the  newly formed caucus, chaired by Nan Hayworth (R-NY-19) and co-chaired by Nita  Lowey (D-NY-18), is to increase national awareness about eating disorders and support those who suffer by seeking to enhance prevention, facilitate  therapeutic advances and improve access to treatment.

Do you feel as though there's enough awareness for eating disorders? Do you think this caucus will help?

Nancy Ford-Russo, a Branford Native is the founder of the Howland Way and offers support those battling eating disorders.
