Rising Star Shelbe Chang By Miss Rula and Mr. Charity Christopher Annino

Actress, Model, Journalist, and Transgender Advocate Shelbe Chang http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5585286/ has always had an interest in the entertainment industry. She went to Saddleback College and learned film, screen writing and photography. After college she worked at a Chinese TV editing company for several years. Many people insisted that Shelbe should go into modeling but she never thought she was good enough. Finally in year 2012, she started working more in front of the camera and ever since then she has been in demand for acting and print work as a model. “My friends have been a great support to me and they are the ones that gave me that extra push to pursue acting and modeling” said Shelbe.

Shelbe didn’t have it easy growing up being from another country she came to America at a very young age “When I first came to America I got picked on because I didn’t speak English and look nerdy. They made fun of me and teased me.” As she continues to pursue a film and modeling career her confidence grows and as her confidence has grown she has become more daring as an artist. Originally from Taiwan she is use to the 24/7 nonstop night life, food and crowds. America is actually the complete opposite so adjusting to that has been a struggle as well.  New York and Vegas maybe the city that never sleeps but Japan is the country that never sleeps.

Shelbe is a huge advocate for transgender rights and she has created a recreational support group for transgender individuals. “I want to make it fun and comfortable for the girls and friends to get together in a very friendly atmosphere and enjoy some time simply having a nice social gathering. We had meet up events at bars, restaurants, lounges, dancing, shopping, shows, movies, beaches, photo shoot sessions, etc

My goal is to empower the transgender community and allow their voices to be heard through acting, dialogue and photography.” Shelbe is currently a contribute writer for Transformation Magazine; host, creator and blogger for Transflix Movie Review on Cinegeoff and many upcoming projects in film, TV and modeling but we will have more on that in the next interview.
