Welcome to the Animal Shelter, I'm Katy!

Katy Prete of the Branford Animal Shelter on her promotion and the shelter's upcoming Animal Awareness Day.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Katy Prete and I work at the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter as the Program Coordinator and I have newly been appointed to Assistant Animal Control Officer.

My purpose of having this blog is to talk about what I do at the shelter, and I will also use this blog for multiple purposes such as talking about about specific animals of the week at the shelter who are looking for their forever homes, events at the shelter coming up, or new programs that we are developing at the shelter that the community can partipate in. I also do the volunteer orientations at the shelter so if anyone is looking to volunteer at our shelter, or more specifically wants to participate in our events and educational programs that we do, we would love to have you.

Our big event coming up that we are all really looking forward to is our annual Animal Awareness Day and festival. The event is coming up really soon on Sunday, October 7th and it is called East Shore Veterinary Hospital's Animal Awareness day sponsored by PetSmart. The event is from noon to 5 pm but the dog walk to the Green kicks off the event and starts at 11am.

Thousands of people attend Animal Awareness Day on the Branford Green to participate in the Dog Walk, Blessing of the Animals, and the Adoption event and Pet Party. It is a celebration of all animals and we have local vendors and rescues that come to the event as well. There is also live music, raffles, food, a kids area, animal shows, and so much more. Hope to see you there!!

rather harsh and does not mention Congress or that fact that any CEO expects their chain of commandRead More to do the job assigned. The events of the last few years, the endless wars, homeland terrorism etc. Not an easy time for any Commander -in Chief. When an article simply slams and does not balance with positive accomplishments, it is hard to see the readers point of view
