Halloween and Some Really Special Dogs

Fall happenings at the Dan Cosgrove animal shelter.

The month of October is upon us and the fall can be a busy season at the shelter.

Our Animal Awareness Day was a really great sucess. It was a rainy day unfortunately but a great day nonetheless. We had some dogs get adopted after the event and all the money we raised goes to our homeless animals in our community.

Another fun fall event that we have in October is our annual Halloween Parade. If you have a dog who doesnt mind wearing a costume and who likes to strut his or her stuff, you should enter him in our Halloween parade on the Branford green. The parade is on Sunday, October 28th and it is a 10 dollar donation to the shelter per pet. Registration is at one and the parade kicks off at 2pm. There are prizes for the various dog costumes as well.

Lastly I wanted to mention that we have four dogs at the shelter who we are now posting as urgent. They have been at the shelter almost a year and we really want to get them into their forever homes. Their names are Garfy, Bogart and Bonnie and Clyde. They are all wonderful dogs so please come in and meet them or send anyone who is looking for a new furry friend to the shelter to meet them.

Thanks for reading my blog and happy fall!

Any questions on the blog or if you need more information on our four urgent dogs please feel free to contact me at the shelter at (203) 315-4125.

rather harsh and does not mention Congress or that fact that any CEO expects their chain of commandRead More to do the job assigned. The events of the last few years, the endless wars, homeland terrorism etc. Not an easy time for any Commander -in Chief. When an article simply slams and does not balance with positive accomplishments, it is hard to see the readers point of view
