Phew! Busy week here in Parade land. That's the New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade for those that have not been able to read the previous posts.

Since my last post, we've had a very successful and fun night at the Parade Ball Held this past Saturday at Yale University. Pictures will be available on our Parade website soon. in the meantime, we've got a Parade to put on the streets!

This week the committee has a lot of running around to do. We're busy, busy, busy. Interviews for TV, Radio and in print have been taking place everyday.

Our tri-color banners and green paint have been delivered to New Haven public works. Now the the city gets ready for it's green makeover. Shamrocks are painted on the streets and a green stripe mark the route. Ireland's flag hangs on several poles and out many windows lining the streets. Coordination with the city departments is critical to a successful day. We are very blessed to have a great relationship with the City of New Haven.

Calls are being made to participating units reminding them day light savings time begins on Sunday. Our coordinator, Hamden resident, Tom Conway is finalizing the Parade Orders. Our latest version has been posted on our website www.stpatricksdayparade.org along with street closing info and much more! Take a look. Get your green items out of storage and join us Parade Day!
