So, if guns are considered evil because of Sandy Hook, then...

Alright.

I have heard it said, and I'm sure you have as well, that guns are bad because they kill people and should be regulated, monitored, and according to some, banned outright. The horrific tragedy in Sandy Hook has prompted much of this mindset.

The preferred target is any long rifle that follows along the AR15 platform. Those rifles are evil.

The main thrust of this is that we have the responsibility to keep our children safe, and long rifle, black, "assault-style" guns are out to kill our kids.

Hmmm.

  • Where is the outrage when a drunk driver kills someone with a car?
  • Where is the outrage when a man, with his bare hands, beats his wife to death?
  • Where is the outrage when a person uses a knife, that is easily bought, to stab innocent by-standers?
  • What about electrical outlets that small children stick things into?
  • What about backyard swimming pools?
  • What about baseball bats and handguns?
Just wondering.

How many children are abused and killed each year in America by their parents? Shall we ban parenthood?

Exactly.
