This year marks the Centennial of Sea Scouting in America! Sea Scout's is part of Boy Scouts of America, it is a co-educational program offered to youth ages 14-21 (or 13 and graduated the 8th grade). Like you, they love boats and water, want to learn the skills of the sailor, can work on a team but set personal goals, too - and have fun doing it.
Scout Scout groups - called "ships" - have been established all across the county. Ships provide opportunities for adventure and offer challenges you won't find elsewhere.
During the summer we meet at our boat located at Bruce and Johnson Marina on South Montowese to sail. Day and evenings vary depending on the weather.
Ship 1 meets during the school year on Thursday's 6:30pm - 8pm at the US Coast Guard Station, 120 Woodward Ave, New Haven, CT. For more information about our unit see our website at www.SSship1.ScoutLander.com
