Branford's Family Day

The Town of Branford will join with the State of Connecticut and numerous other organizations in celebrating FAMILY DAY on September 30th, 2012 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.  All events are scheduled to take place on the . In the event of inclement weather, all activities will take place inside the .

The campaign, "Valuing Connecticut's Families.. It's Everybody's Business," distinguishes families as the basic building blocks of society and encourages the support of families.  It focuses on the every day issues and events central to the core health of the family such as the importance of family tradition, family strength, and family community interdependence and work/family issues.

All parents, children of all ages, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, and friends, are welcomed to attend this event.  Scheduled activites, both fun and educational, relay games, jugglers, racing track cars, face painting, Zumba, a magic show, food, entertainment, story telling, an apperance from "Rocky", the New Britain Rock Cats baseball team's mascot,  a chiildren's essay contest on " What Family Means to Me", and much more will be held.
