On March 21, 2013, the ACES Education Foundation celebrated its 10th anniversary with a gala event attended by over 100 people at ACES Educational Center for the Arts. Special guests included New Haven Mayor, John DeStefano and New Haven Superintendent of Schools Dr. Reginald Mayo. Thanks to support from its sponsors and the ACES community, the Foundation raised over $40,000. Money raised will support educational programs. Event sponsors included Brown and Brown Insurance, Cigna, Connecticare and USI. Rita’s Italian Ice and Frozen Custard of Branford graciously provided desserts for the event. The ACES Education Foundation raises funds to enrich and enhance educational experiences in Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES) schools and programs, which serve students and adults from more than 75 Connecticut towns.
