Pageant Postponed Until December 21

Stony Creek,
CT            The annual Stony Creek Christmas Pageant originally scheduled
to place on December 14 has been rescheduled to Saturday, December 21 from 6-8
p.m.  Hosted by The Church of Christ
Congregational in Stony Creek with support from the Stony Creek Community and
the Town of Branford,
the long running holiday event depicts seven biblical Christmas scenes staged
in and around the quaint Village of Stony Creek.  A crowd of a few thousand is expected to walk
through the village during the pageant.

At 6 p.m. the Stony Creek Fife & Drum Corp kicks off the
night’s activities by marching the ½ mile route from the Stony
Creek Museum
to Madera Park. 
The biblical scenes feature a number of local actors, sheep, a llama and
other livestock.  A group of Christmas
carolers are performing at The Legacy Theater.  
Over 1,000 luminaries light the festival route. 

A Musical Performance by Allegro Performing Arts Academy
will be held in the sanctuary of the Congregational
Church at 6:15 pm.

That evening the general public is invited to walk through
the Stony Creek Museum
or visit open house at The Church of Christ Congregational in Stony Creek
during pageant hours for refreshments.  
Local charities and groups will be providing information and accepting
donations at the open house.  There is no
charge for any of the pageant activities.

Without support of The Town of Branford, the Stony Creek
Parks Committee, Legacy Theater, Stony
Creek Museum
and a number of local businesses and families this event would not be
