Just in time for garlic planting season in October, the Evening Committee of the Branford Garden Club brings Maureen Gillis to town to give you garlic history and mythology along with basic planting/cultivating/harvesting/storing instructions. If you've never grown garlic...and even if you currently grow only flowers...come discover why this easy and versatile plant should be a staple in your garden.  You will leave with a severe case of garlic mania and ready to plant your crop in October. Maureen Gillis, an Advanced Master Gardener and a Master Composter Intern, is President of the Connecticut Master Gardeners Association.
