IMAGES 2014 Gallery Talk

Wednesday evening join us for a gallery talk as our guest speaker
explores and discusses the photographs juried into IMAGES 2014.

Professor Andrew Szegdy-Maszak is Wesleyan's first Distinguished
Teaching Fellow. In recognition of Wesleyan's most outstanding teachers,
the Distinguished Teaching Fellowship offers the recipient the
opportunity to teach a course outside of his/her usual departmental
offering. Andy will be offering a seminar on 'Photography and Social
Movements.' Andrew has published widely on Greek History and
historiography and on the history of photography. His current project is
a study of the representation of classical sites by 19th-century
photographers and travel writers; among his recent publications is the
co-authored Antiquity and Photography (2005), which won the Association
of American Publishers Award for Excellence in Scholarly Publishing.
