Free Public Stargazing in Branford

The Astronomical Society of New Haven is hosting a free family

public viewing event on Saturday August 31st after sunset at Young's

Pond Park in Branford. Telescopes will be pointed at Saturn with its rings, the

Hercules star cluster and the Ring Nebula and many other nebulas and star

clusters. Members will also point out the constellations and satellite passes. ASNH
can assist you with your telescope or binoculars just bring them to the event. Dress
for cool weather and wear mosquito repellant. Directions and cancellation due
to weather (including clouds) will be posted to our website, www.asnh.org or
call 866-808-ASNH.

Note: Mapquest shows the location wrong. Young's Pond Park is on Blackstone Ave. The entrance is between 2 stone pillars.
