Live Christmas Pageant in Stony Creek

The Stony Creek live, outdoor Christmas Pageant will be held on Saturday, December 15 from 6 - 8 p.m. along Thimble Islands Road (rain date Dec 22).  The Stony Creek Fife and Drum Corps will march to the village green at 7 p.m. and introduce a Caroling Ceremony with a special choir and Nativity readings.  A musical program by the Allegro Performing Arts Academy will be held in the sanctuary of the Congregational Church at 6:15 p.m.

Around 2,000 luminaries will light the way through seven live scenes re-enacting the birth of Christ.  Sheep, llama, donkey, goats and a horse will be part of the live scenes manned by members of the church’s youth group and the community.

The stations include:  The Angel's Announcement to Mary, Joseph's Dream, Crowded Inn at Bethlehem, Shepherds Keeping Watch, The Nativity, the Three Kings, and the Flight to Egypt.  They will be located between the Fire House and Madeira Park.  Roving groups of carolers in Victorian costumes will sing at the scenes.  The Pageant may be viewed on foot or by car.  During the event, an Open House with refreshments will be held at the church’s Fellowship Hall, located behind the church.
