Holiday Concert The Thimble Islands Saxophone Quartet
A musical performance sponsored by The Friends of the Blackstone Library, Sunday, December 16, 2012, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
The Thimble Islands Saxophone Quartet will perform a selection of Christmas holiday classics including Sleigh Ride, variations on God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman, Hallelujah from The Messiah, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, and a medley of songs from themovie White Christmas.
Concluding the concert will be an audiencesing-along of Silent Night and Jingle Bells.

The Thimble Island Saxophone Quartet is comprised of tenor saxophone Frank Vasi, alto saxophone Richard Barnes, sopranosaxophone David Langlais, and baritone saxophone Tim Moran.
They perform music from Baroque to contemporary, including jazz,Broadway, rock and popular idioms, plus works from chamber music,symphonic, choral, and vocal traditions. The Quartet has an average of 30 years professional musical experience. Founder, tenor saxophonistand composer Frank Vasi writes all the arrangements for the group.
