Branford Veterans Day Parade

Annual Branford Veterans Day Parade will take place Nov. 10, 2013 at 1PM on the cenotaph at the rear of the Town Hall.  After brief ceremonies the parade will step-off on to So. Main St to Main St to North Harbor St. via Main St. and return to reviewing stand in front of Town Hall on Main St.  The Parade event will consist of Military Order of Purple Heart, 2nd Company Governors Foot Guard, 1st BN 102 Infantry National Guard,, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign War Units, Stony Creek Fife & Drum Corps, St. Mary Fife & Drum Corps, Totoket Fife & Drum Corps, Branford Town Band, Branford High School Band, Branford Police Color Guard, Banford Fire Department, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Brownies Scouts, Take-A-Vet Fishing of the 1st Congregational Church via Jeff Bugger, director;  Patriotic Float of the 1st Baptist Church, via Matt Fitch, director; Shoreline Antique Auto Connection (antique cars).  Any U.S. military  veteran or active is welcome to march in the First Section with the American Legion or Veterans of Foreign Wars. 
Approximately 2,000 cemetery flags at all Branford major cemeteries will be placed on 2 Nov at 8am and removed on 16 Nov at 8am.  Volunteers needed for this 45 minute,each,event; please bring screw driver to make a flag hole.  Instructions will be offered.
