Branford Chamber of Commerce Presents: Chili Challenge for a Cause

Branford Chamber of Commerce 1st Annual Chili Challenge for a Cause combines great local chili recipes, great shopping all for some really great causes

By now we are all pretty sick and tired of the snow and cold weather. So what better way for the Connecticut Shoreline to end their winter hibernation and start the spring with some serious zip than a chili cook off?  But this is not your normal cook off. This for the bragging rights to the Town of Branford, ane the winner is you the public, AND a local charity.

This year, the Branford Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 1st AnnualChili Challenge for a Cause”. The format is very simple, local merchants, restaurants, and guest chefs will team up and cook up their best chili, and you the public will decide who has the best chili in Branford. Each “team” will have chosen a local charity, and the winning team’s charity will get a portion of the proceeds. Here’s a partial list of the restaurants, merchants, and charities. Home Restaurant, MADD, Donovan’s Reef, Mango’s, The Meat House, SBC, Eli’s on the Hill, Lynn’sDeli, Totally Awesome Goods, Trailblazers, The Community Dining Room, Coco’s on the Green, Sound Runner, BECC, and Fired Up. As more participants are added we will announce them on the Branford Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. Tickets are just $10, and a portion of those go to the winner’s charity. The event is on March 23rd from 12Pm to 3PM. For tickets, go to www.branfordct.com
