Two New Proposals Being Considered for Puppet House
One is for a performing arts center, the other for a product design studio.
Plans for the revival or redevelopment of the Stony Creek Puppet House theater, sidelined last year because of high estimated restoration costs, might be back in play.
According to an article in the New Haven Register today, two new proposals for the use of the building at 128 Thimble Island Road are under consideration.
One would develop the dilapidated former theater as a performing arts center, which is similar to the plan advanced by Branford entrepreneur Greg Nobile and the Puppet House Foundation last year.

The other would convert the building into a product design studio for Fabrique, a company that sells a line of designer handbags and computer cases.
