State Opens Inquiry Into Branford Daycare Center's Abrupt Closing

The state Attorney General's office is concerned that Precious Cargo Daycare failed to refund money to parents who had prepaid.

The state Attorney General’s office has begun an investigation of the abrupt closing of a  daycare center at the beginning of the month, which left its employees out of work and .

According to a story by WTNH Channel 8, the Attorney General’s office sent a letter to the owners of Precious Cargo Daycare expressing concern about the center’s failure to pay back parents who had prepaid for daycare services.

Anyone who is affected and believes they are owed money may go online to the Attorney General’s web site and complete a complaint form.
