Never Alone: Life with Psychic Children

Branford resident Christina Pierson shares a 10-year-period of living with her three children and their extraordinary psychic abilities.

Four-year-old Emmet said to his mother, Christina Pierson, “I am very sad mommy. I miss Jesus.”

Recanting the incident more than a decade later, Pierson recalls somewhat dismissing her middle child of three.

“How could you possibly miss him Emmet?” Said Pierson. “You’ve never been with him.”

“Yes, I have,” Emmet insisted. “I was with him before I was in your tummy… Mommy, why do we have to die to go and be with God when we were with him already before?”

Pierson is not extremely religious or even religious at all. In fact, Emmet had never gone to church when he spoke of Jesus. To say that she was shocked at what her toddler was saying was an understatement.

Pierson explains that she and her family lived in Ireland for most of the children’s rearing before relocating to Branford recently. They had no access to cable television and the only impression of Jesus the children may have had, said Pierson, was that of a baby in a manager. To see an adult Jesus, which Emmet drew as a man with wings wearing a crown of flowers and having an oval on his stomach– no beard or long hair– was unusual, said Pierson (see image of drawing).

Emmet’s vision was just the start of many he would have throughout his childhood. His younger sister Anithe and older brother Connor, would also share these visions or as Pierson understands them now: psychic experiences.

Her children, recalls Pierson, would “Just know things.” She continued, “…about people and situations that they could not have known.”

After seeing how Emmet was affected by Jesus, Pierson said she decided to allow him and subsequently her other children, to openly express their experiences.  Having no firm psychic abilities herself, Pierson gave her children paper and pens and encouraged them to draw and express what they were seeing.

Over time, Pierson kept the drawings. “I was collecting them because I wanted to understand for them,” said Pierson. “I had a need and a desire to understand what was happening with them, for them.”

The envelope she kept the drawings in grew until it became a large binder and eventually, a book: “A Knowing: Living with Psychic Children.” [Pierson’s children’s real names are not used here is this article or in the book.]

Pierson said she wrote her book just about a year ago for other parents going through the same experience she lived. “It wasn’t about me,” said Pierson, “it was for the other parents and kids who are having these psychic experiences.”

Pierson’s children, all teenagers now, do not have experiences as frequently as they did as children and in fact, Emmet has all together decided to take a break from his psychic gifts. Though, what they experienced growing up was a wide array of psychic abilities, said Pierson. Looking back, Pierson said she must have been walking all through the family’s home encountering these visions and not knowing they were there. While she went about her day to day, her children were seeing aliens, angels, demons and past lives. They were smelling, hearing and feeling dimensions and worlds beyond the present, said Pierson.

Of all the experiences, Pierson said the encounters with aliens were the most difficult to deal with. At age five, Emmet shared with Pierson that he had gone onto a craft with Jesus (see image of drawing). The purpose of the craft, recalled Emmet, was to take pictures of “bad people” to show God so that God could understand what people are doing. “I found this incident difficult to handle,” wrote Pierson in her book.

Later Anithe, at age seven, and Emmet, age nine, encountered red and grey aliens who had an affinity for Anithe’s beloved stuffed bear. Anithe told her mother that the alien was trying to understand the function of the teddy bear. In her book Pierson said, after putting Emmet, with his permission, into hypnosis, he explained about the alien’s interest in the teddy bear: “It’s because he wasn’t really familiar with how they… how much energy was coming out of this lifeless toy.” The energy Pierson shared was put into the bear by Anithe.

Emmet also shared about the aliens’ interest in Earth: “It’s because Earth is so different to where they have been. And the people in it (humans) are so different from what they have seen and how they have loads of different languages within the same group and they (the red aliens) all speak the same (language). Also, it makes them wonder why, if humans are so nice, and everyone that lives on Earth is so nice, why they wouldn’t want to live together (in peace)."

Her book, which guides parents of children with psychic abilities, is a sharing of her own past, said Pierson, adding, that some things she did right and others she did not. Specifically, Pierson said her oldest son Connor had tried to communicate with her telepathically from a very young age. She ignored his attempts at this communication until eventually he just stopped. Looking back, Pierson said this is something she wishes she could re-do. She’s hoping that parents will learn about the gifts of special children like hers and be able to embrace them. Of her children and others like them, she said, “They keep an insight to the human condition that will only help us. They have the ability to see beyond what’s happening to something deeper.”

From her experience, Pierson said society is not open to people with psychic abilities. “The only thing that prevents them from expressing,” said Pierson, “is their environment.” This “knowing” of other worlds and entities, said Pierson, was something very real to her children. Denying it, she said, would have been “about control and fear and having to be right, which is about fear.”

Since publishing her book, Pierson has received correspondence from people all over the world sharing their stories. She will be giving a free talk about her book at the Allan Kardec Spiritist Center of Danbury on Saturday, April 9 at 5 p.m.
