Looking for the Lobster Shack?

During a conversation with a patron about the 's new location, Arlene Crismale said, "New place, better view..."

"Great food," the patron concluded happily. "We'll be back."

That kind of conversation is as common at the Lobster Shack's new location (7 Indian Neck Ave.) as it was at its old home down the street. Now on the other side of the river, the Lobster Shack is located at the Birbarie Marina. The new location has doubled the amount of parking available to Lobster Shack patrons. More parking will be available when the boats still wintering at the marina are in the water.

The Lobster Shack opened later than normal this year due to the change in location, beginning their season over Memorial Day weekend. While some things are the same – their famous lobster rolls are as tasty as ever and the hours are still 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, and until 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday – the move has given the Lobster Shack space to add some events and additional items to their menu. Live music has been offered since June 26, with several upcoming dates for rock 'n' roll and "jazzy doo wop" acts. The Lobster Shack has also added gelato to their offerings, as well as some new Lobster Shack gear.

How is business in the new location? It's doing really well, according to Crismale, "as long as the sun is shining." The rain does its best to keep the customers away, but Crismale continued, "There's just something about the water. When it's a nice day, there's nowhere better to be."
