Katia Turns Away from U.S.; Rain Continues for Branford

A constant plume of tropical moisture has been giving us plenty of rain. Look for a lot of the same today…

Hurricane Katia, currently southwest of Bermuda, is beginning to make the turn to the north and east and will miss the U.S. The only effects that will be felt is high surf over the Cape and Rhode Island coast.

A new tropical system is beginning to take shape in the open waters of the Atlantic and may be something interesting to watch later this week.

Today: Light to moderate rain on and off throughout the day. Rain may be heavy during the overnight hours. Highs will be on the cool side in the upper-60s. Overnight lows in the low-60s.
