Fire in Bridgeport Halts Train Service

The warehouse fire erupted at the intersection of Howard and Railroad Ave.


A fire in Bridgeport has halted trains in both directions along the Metro-North Railroad's New Haven lane, as well as Amtrak trains in the northeast corridor.

According to various Twitter reports, the blaze erupted in a warehouse at the intersection of Howard Ave and Railroad Ave.

The Connecticut Rail Commuter Council tweeted through its official account that, at as of 8:29 p.m., there is no estimate of the length of delays.
