On July 4, Rocco Daddio, to the waters of Long Island Sound when attempting to walk out to Charles Island from Silver Sands Beach in Milford. He is survived by 8-year-old step-daughter Mia Daddio who, according to the benefit website, loved adventures with her late dad. Widow Anna Daddio is also grieving the loss of Rocco. A benefit will be held in his honor at . A happy hour buffet and party will be thrown in honor of Rocco and there will be dancing, raffles and more to help the family. Every Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., new moms are encouraged to make new friends and learn about early child care. Want to know more about our state government? “Spend some time exploring the seat of state government through free tours of Connecticut’s Supreme Court, State Capitol and the Museum of Connecticut History.” A day of fun will include a scavenger hunt, tours of legislative offices and state capitol building as well as a visit to the Supreme Court! If you missed the Branford High School Choir's preformance, at Yale’s Woolsey Hall, don't miss their follow-up act this Friday on the Town Green.

The group will preform rock classics by Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Toto, Queen, Ozzy Osborn and others. CDs of the choir’s recent “Rock ’n’ Roll Over Beethoven,” will be available during the event. Proceeds from sales of the $20-CDs will benefit the’s Basic Needs Program. The rain date is Aug. 13.
