Hello Branford Patch readers! Jenn McCulloch, editor of North Branford Patch here to share some great news. It looks like Branford Patch readers got it right as 60 percent of readers voted Nicole would have a baby boy.
Baby boy Ball arrived very early this morning, weighing in just shy of eight pounds and at 20 1/4 inches long! Mom, Dad and baby are doing great! While Nicole will be off on maternity leave for the next couple months, I'm sure she'll be checking in on the site so if you'd like to pass your congrats on, you can do so in the comments.

Dear lovely, loyal and dedicated Branford Patch readers:
As many of you have noticed from my not-so-discrete appearances on during town meetings, I am having a baby! Our due date is May 14 and I will be on maternity leave starting today.
While we are still on the topic of babies, the photo of me included with this story was shot by Branford Chamber member Jess Smith of Jessica Smith Photography & Design (“Like” her page on Facebook). She’s based out of East Haven and is also the Chief of Multimedia and Photography for Shore Publishing!
My husband and I have opted not to find out what the sex of the baby is. We’d like you to vote in the attached poll to guess if it will be a boy or a girl. My husband and I will be making a donation of $1 for every correct vote cast to the up to $100.
