This has been a period where small local businesses continue to struggle with competition from the internet, large merchandising companies and the complex issues associated with a struggling economy. The Branford Chamber has embarked upon a series of events designed to help support many of these businesses. The Chili Challenge brought close to six hundred people to Branford followed by our second annual GUYS AND DOLLS FASHION EXTRAVAGANZA FEATURING A RUNWAY SHOW and “Off The Rack Boutique “on Saturday May 4th 6:30 pm at Consign and Design Shoreline , 616 East Main Street in Branford. The off the rack boutique provides an opportunity where purchases may be made. Food and drink will be provided by Grace’s Grille and music by DJ Robbie G. All our spectacular models will be escorted by a prominent local businessperson and the entire event will be emceed by your favorite morning News Channel 8 Anchors Chris Velardi and Anne Craig.
