“Downsizing Made Easy” Seminar

Shoreline Active Adults & Seniors can learn how to navigate late in life transitions at a free, "Downsizing Made Easy" seminar on Thursday, January 23rd from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the SAFE Financial Center at 1921 Boston Post Road, Westbrook.

Local real estate agent Linda Packard of RE/MAX Alliance is teaming with the S.A.F.E. Financial Center as part of their Lifestyle Thursdays series  free seminars.
 As the population ages, more and more active adults, seniors, and their caregiver families are faced with the challenges of “downsizing”; usually a move from the traditional family home into a smaller condo, apartment or even an assisted living community. The seminar is designed to help these 55+ Shoreline homeowners accomplish this life transition with  ease. Active adults, seniors and family caregivers from across the Shoreline will have the opportunity in a casual – yet educational – manner to receive a number of tips and plenty of guidance from Packard, a Shoreline real estate agent who specializes in working with the 55+ as they consider the sale of their family home and a move to a new location. 
The seminar includes a presentation and discussion of The 5 Steps to Downsizing Made Easy along with topics like what to consider before making a move, 55+ and senior living options, questions to ask when touring retirement communities and skilled care facilities, tips for hiring various professionals related to the moving process, guidance on estate sales and estate auctions, and many other pertinent topics.
