What's Open For Business?

We've started a list and need your help to finish it!

It's been more than 80 hours for many of us without power. Some businesses cranked up the generators and opened to the public right after tropical storm Irene subsided. was one of the first to do this. The was also running on a generator.

Since then, power has been restored to parts of East Main Street. , who first ran off a generator was up and running with full "real" power as of yesterday.

If you know of an open place that we’ve missed, please add it to the comments section. Because power restoration is happening as you read this, information is subject to change.

Please note that businesses may not be operating at full service. Come with cash, in case that is a payment requirement.

rather harsh and does not mention Congress or that fact that any CEO expects their chain of commandRead More to do the job assigned. The events of the last few years, the endless wars, homeland terrorism etc. Not an easy time for any Commander -in Chief. When an article simply slams and does not balance with positive accomplishments, it is hard to see the readers point of view
