In 2008, Salvatore Romano purchased the property at 328 Shore Drive, then known as Short Beach General Store (the property also included parcels 326 and 330) from Lorraine Cronin who had owned the property since 1980 (see Branford Assessor’s field card for more details).
The business became Parrot Bay Deli and Catering. The current owner ran the business for several years before giving the retail space to , which was also a deli. Recently, Sweet Bears also closed up shop. The owner has decided to convert the space to residential and it will no longer run as a business from 328 Shore Drive. He said the town is requiring him to landscape part of the parking lot.
