One man's mission to find the best lobster roll in New England recently started in our little shoreline town. At the newly relocated (just over the bridge, off Indian Neck Avenue at the Birbarie Marina), Michael Mohammadi takes on the challenge of tasting every lobster roll in New England for his Food & Wine Blog and starts his quest in Branford.
A former resident of Baltimore, Maryland, Mohammadi is filling his crab cake void with lobster rolls and has taken his girlfriend, Nicole, along on his journey. Sampling both the Connecticut-style lobster rolls–hot chunks of buttery lobster meat on a toasted bun–and the mayo-based lobster rolls, Mohammadi and his gal anticipate spending the summer sampling the best there is.
