New Designer Consignment Store Caters to Fashion Savvy Families

A new family consignment store specializing in designer fashions and accessories for women, men and children opens its doors in Branford tomorrow, April 21.

ladies’ designer consignment boutique of Clinton is pleased to announce the opening of, a resale family consignment store located at 2 Liesl Lane. The new store will feature high-end designer consignment clothing and accessories for women, men and children along with home décor and small furnishings.

The 3,600 sq. ft. space is an ideal companion to the intimate Clinton-based boutique, which as been a favorite shopping destination for fashion-conscious women since 1980. The store offers plenty of free parking.

Owner Nancy Briggs, a resident of Branford, jumped at the opportunity to open her second store as she has been actively seeking to expand her products. “The route 1 location is perfect! We’re anxious to provide area families, college students and vacationers with a great resale shopping experience and are looking forward to joining the local business community,” says Briggs.

Resale shopping has become popular in recent years in part due to the economy and designer resale offers shoppers the thrill of the chase, finding a one-of-a-kind piece. Resale appeals to anyone who is conscious of the environment as it is eco-friendly to recycle. College students have also discovered resale’s cool factor and stalk high-end consignment shops for the latest fashions.

The Cedar Chest II will open its doors on April 21st at 10:00 AM. A ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for Friday, May 4th and a Grand Opening is also planned. The store plans on operating 7 days a week for shopper convenience: Monday – Friday, 10AM – 7PM and Saturday and Sunday, 10AM – 5PM. Walk-in consignments will be taken between 11AM – 4PM, Monday – Saturday. In preparation of the opening, th store is actively seeking men’s and children’s designer items in new or like-new condition. I certainly will be shopping there. I've shopped in the one in Clinton and loved it. Was wishing something like that would come closer. Looking forward to checking it out.
