Job Alert: Part-Time Kennel Worker and Temporary Truck Driver/Laborer

The following information is courtesy of the Town of Branford, which is currently recruiting for two positions:

Temporary Truck Driver/Laborer Positions in Public Works

Salary Range: $21.99 per hour 
40-hour work week for a period of 90 days

Essential Functions: Performs all necessary work to maintain the Town road system in good condition. Cut, clean up and dispose of windstorm debris and roadside trash and delivers to Transfer Station. Plow snow, sand and salt highways as required by storm conditions. Operate wood chipper. Replace traffic signs May be required to paint interior walls and trim.

Qualification RequirementsHigh School graduate or GED equivalent. Four (4) years of experience relating to construction, maintenance, or repair; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must maintain a valid CDL State of Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operators license, Class B
 
Selection Process: Formal application, rating of education and experience; oral interview and reference check; job related tests may be required. The Town of Branford reserves the right to limit the number of qualified candidates who will be considered for the position. Application and resume qualifications considered with follow-up interview if warranted.

Part Time Kennel Worker– Animal Shelter Branford

7:30 to 10 a.m. 7 days a week
Salary:  $9.75 hour
 
Essential FunctionsCleaning and disinfecting kennels, filling buckets, washing dishes, doing laundry and putting it away, cleaning the play yard of feces and toys, cleaning cat room and its cages, answering phones and or greeting guests.

Qualification Requirements A love of animals and ability to meet and deal with public.
