It's All About Family & Great Hair At Studio D A Salon

They are now open and are holding their grand opening on Sept. 6 from 5-7pm at 288 East Main Street in Branford.

We know that when our hair looks great, we feel great! Patch interviewed Debbie Barger, owner of Studio D A Salon in Branford to find out more about her business and philosophy.

How long have you been a hairdresser and what do you enjoy about it?

I’ve been a hair stylist for almost 30 years. What I most enjoy about being a hairstylist is making people feel good about themselves. When someone’s hair looks good, they feel good too.

How did opening your own salon come about?

I decided that opening my own salon was the best way to use my expertise and experience. I could not have done it without the support of my mentor and former employer of many years Cindy Santa Connor.

Why did you want to open your business in Branford?

I chose to stay in Branford because I grew up in this town. I have worked in Branford for most of my career and have developed a clientele based along the shoreline.

What sets your salon apart from others?

Studio D is different from other salons because we are a family here. Everyone who works here acts as a team player and we all work very well together. This salon is great because of its relaxed atmosphere and our ability to listen to our clients’ wants and needs.

We offer cut, color, highlights, bridal/special events, updos, styling, perms, keratin treatments, waxing, and manicures.
