Branford's Game X Change Owner Named Connecticut's Small Business Person of the Year

Chris Runyan, who owns six Game X Change stores in Connecticut, including one in Branford, was given the honor by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Last month, Chris Runyan, who owns six videogame stores, including one in Branford, was named the United States Small Business Administration's 2013 Small Business Person of the Year for Connecticut.

Runyan owns six Game X Change stores, including one in Branford. Game X Change stores allow people to buy, sell and trade videogames, DVDs, iPods and related items with each other, according to the company's website.

Runyan used a loan from the Connecticut Community Investment Corp to open his first store in Orange in 2010 and now employs 40 people throughout Connecticut, according to hartfordbusiness.com. To read his success story, click here.
