A will come to life again thanks to Branford’s Ken Johnson who has been running for more than a decade. This music guru will be opening a second business at 1122 Main St., in just about one month.
After 14 years in business in Branford, Johnson said it’s still surprising, the amount people who are just learning about his business on Route 1 and that’s why he’s excited about opening a shop in the center of town. With a more prominent presence on the Green at 1122 Main St., Johnson said he’s confident that his expansion shop will be successful despite the tough economic climate. Johnson said he will be carrying products that range in price from .99 cents to $199, but the majority of items will be under $39. While he plans to carry some of the same products he sells at his East Main Street shop like music stands, guitar strings and guitars, he’s the most excited to offer the music gifts. His staff, he added, will be educated musicians.
Two 32-inch by 20-inch neon lights placed in the windows will welcome customers to the new spot at 1122 Main St. “When people walk-in,” he said, “they are going to get it."
