Week of the Young Child - Branford MOVES!

SATURDAY APRIL 26th from 12 noon - 3pm


Join the Branford Early Childhood Collaborative as we celebrate literacy with 

NAEYC's The Early Years are the Learning Years & Week of the Young Child. 


This free event for families on the Branford green will have fun fitness stations, activities and demonstrations throughout the afternoon.



BECC celebrates literacy with One Book One Town and the level one reader Little Big Horse, where's my bike? 1000 Free books distributed at preschools, playgroups and on the green. 


12:30 - Join Steppin' Out Dance Centre on the green and learn the latest dance moves!


1pm -  Children's Champions Awards Presentation


1:30 pm - Join in on the fun with a FLASHMOB led by Tisko Fit members. Signup to be on a team here and watch a tutorial video


Pre-registration is not required but it's great if you know how to participate ahead of time!


2pm - World Champion TKD master demo team and a BREAK-A-THON.


WANT TO BREAK SOME BOARDS TOO? YOU CAN! Boards will be available to purchase for $2/board and Master Han and his team will give you the skills you need.


2:30 Presentation of awards from the Take a Step Day poster contest


3pm One Book One Town Pre-K Art Walk - 

See the beautiful work the children of Branford are displaying down in the merchant windows down Main Street.
