Summer Camps for 5 and under

Branford has a lot of summer camp opportunities for kids. But when kids are 5 and under it can be challenging to find what is available. We heard about some  great options for the kids and thought we'd pass them along.

Pre-K Summer - K Boot Camp* All Campers must be five years old by 12-31-13
This camp will focus on kindergarten school readiness skills for students entering kindergarten in the fall. Offering literacy and math based learning activities with a Branford Public Schools certified teacher. Music, movement and games with one field trip per session.

Session 1: July 8th- July 26th $350 (3 weeks)
Monday - Friday from 9am to 1pm
One, Two, Going to the Zoo
Fieldtrip to Beardsley Zoo

Session 2: July 29th - August 9th $250 (2 weeks)
Monday - Friday from 9am to 1pm
Ocean Commotion
Fieldtrip to The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk

Ms. Judy's Emporium Summer Camp Program
Run at the Owenego Inn in Indian Neck section of Branford. The summer program runs for six weeks during the months of July and August. 

Children will have the opportunity to participate in many fun adventures. Although the facilities are next to the beach, the program prohibits children from swimming in the ocean. We do, however, provide sprinklers and other water sport games to keep the children cool during those hot summer days.
Half day, daily, and weekly rates available for children Ages 3 and up. Adjusted fees based on Owenego members or non-members,  scholarships available and multi-children discounts. Call 203-710- 1313 or email msjudysemporium@yahoo.com  


Soundview YMCAThe YMCA in Branford has a Kiddie Camp for ages 3-5. Kiddie Camp activities include crafts, FREE swimming lessons, story time, and lots of outdoor fun! Half day and full day camps are available. This Camp will allow first time campers to make new friends while experiencing enriching activities. Must be potty trained. *Note: No Free Swim Fees based on YMCA members or non-members.    www.soundviewymca.org or call 203-481-9622.


Slamma Jamma Basketball Clinic August 12-16,   9am - noon $125

Children will be exposed to all aspects of the game of basketball, including dribbling, shooting, passing and defense.
