BRANFORD ROTARY BOOK SALE & FOOD TENT

The Branford Rotary Club is hosting its annual food tent at the Branford Festival on June 17-19, 2011.  The legendary All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast is on Saturday, the 18th, and Sunday, the 19th, from the hours of 7:00 a.m.-12:00 noon. The breakfast provides pancakes or French toast, sausages, coffee, and juice.  Tickets are available from members of Branford Rotary or at the tent. The Rotary pancake breakfast has been a customary event in town for more than 40 years.

The onset of the Festival 20 years ago has seen the Rotary Club expand from just breakfast to providing a variety of foods served during the afternoons and evenings. This year’s menu includes lobster rolls, chicken tenders, steamship round beef sandwiches, curly fries, pretzels, hot dogs, and strawberry shortcake. Food prices range from $5 to $20. Beverages are also available. Rotarians will gladly wrap food items for take out purposes. Anthony Terry (203/481-6424) is chairing the Rotary Festival Food Committee.
