Readers and writers came from near and far to talk about mysteries at Murder 203, “Connecticut’s Mystery Festival,” this past weekend. Here are a few authors who were there and some of their books.
Debbie’s Daily Dose of Food for Thought
Reading a mystery can sometimes help us understand what goes wrong to cause bad things to happen in real life. Agatha Christie once said, “Very few of us are what we seem.” This is true. People are complex beings and we never really know what is going on in someone else’s head. Carolyn Hart, the Guest of Honor at Murder 203 said, “mysteries are about people’s lives and how they became fractured,” and that in the mystery story, “goodness will be celebrated.” So, why not visit one of our libraries ( or ) to borrow a book, discover a new author and get lost in another time and place?
